The Warrington Transport Trail Half Marathon has previously been organised by Ian Davies, a founding organiser of the highly popular Holmfirth based Summer Tri Series, a bi-annual event that included First of the Summer Tri and Last of the Summer Tri.

2025 sees a new race organiser. Having just completed her A-Levels Lucie Davies has taken over organiser duties from Ian.  Lucie is a keen runner and a member of Warrington Athletics Club.
